And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that {were} in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
And the cherubims spread out {their} wings on high, {and} covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; {even} to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth {between} the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, {were} there with the ark of the covenant of God.

And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard {even} to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built {them} for it within, {even} for the oracle, {even} for the most holy {place}.
