For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: {wanting: or, left undone}

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come. {condemnation: or, judgment}

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. {honestly: or, decently}

For God is not {the author} of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. {confusion: Gr. tumult, or, unquietness}

For because ye {did it} not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch. {far...: Heb. over against}

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down. {rock: Heb. strong place} {in the ordered...: or, in an orderly manner}

These {were} the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.

Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.

Thus {were} the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward. {Thus: Heb. These}

They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird {themselves} with any thing that causeth sweat. {with...: or, in sweating places: Heb. in, or, with sweat}

And also the burnt offerings {were} in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for {every} burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.
