For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and {that} the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Blessed {are} those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly {is} ready, but the flesh {is} weak.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Therefore let us not sleep, as {do} others; but let us watch and be sober.
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet {thee as} a man.
Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all {them} that thou hast loved, with all {them} that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to {him}, and makest {him} drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
And when Moses saw that the people {were} naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto {their} shame among their enemies:) {their enemies: Heb. those that rose up against them}
Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I {was} naked; and I hid myself.
So Gideon, and the hundred men that {were} with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that {were} in their hands.
And Judah said, Let her take {it} to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her. {be shamed: Heb. become a contempt}
For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD.
