Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, {yet} my mind {could} not {be} toward this people: cast {them} out of my sight, and let them go forth.
And Moses took half of the blood, and put {it} in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, {which} when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.
And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered {it for} a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. {heard: or, answered}
And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.
And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? {the LORD: Heb. the face of the LORD}
Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
And thou shalt kill the bullock before the LORD, {by} the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear {it}, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)
And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, {yet} my mind {could} not {be} toward this people: cast {them} out of my sight, and let them go forth.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep {me} from evil, that it may not grieve me! O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here {am} I.
These {are} that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
And Samuel said unto the people, {It is} the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt. {advanced: or, made}
And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?
And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and {of} Barak, and {of} Samson, and {of} Jephthae; {of} David also, and Samuel, and {of} the prophets:
The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration, and wave it {for} a wave offering before the LORD: and it shall be thy part.
{Is it} not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness {is} great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
And thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn {them} upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the LORD: it {is} an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, {which} when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, {even} for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah. {by...: Heb. making naked}
