And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it {is} a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of {my} covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain {them} in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, {and} not pitied.
