[A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.] O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

For I {am} with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted {me} with all thy waves. Selah.
I {am} afflicted and ready to die from {my} youth up: {while} I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.

And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we {are} all thy people.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.
{Yet} his meat in his bowels is turned, {it is} the gall of asps within him.
He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong {pain}:
The troubles of my heart are enlarged: {O} bring thou me out of my distresses.
Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, {yea}, my soul and my belly.
