Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding {and} eternal weight of glory;
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard {him}, and saved him out of all his troubles.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of {them} all the Lord delivered me.
He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
For a just {man} falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
{Thou}, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Confirming the souls of the disciples, {and} exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I {am} more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
