And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and {in} all judgment; {judgment: or, sense}

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

Who {is} a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? {understanding: Heb. hearing}

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with {my} whole heart.

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments {are} righteousness.

Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: {true...: Heb. laws of truth}

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou {art} the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Blessed {art} thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

I {am} thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

The righteousness of thy testimonies {is} everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, {shall not he know}?
