Mine eyes prevent the {night} watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

When I remember thee upon my bed, {and} meditate on thee in the {night} watches.
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and {when} thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
