Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.
To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, {written: or, enrolled}
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. {sure: or, steady}
And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;
Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I {am} the LORD.
Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who {is} on the LORD'S side? {let him come} unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
And it shall come to pass, {that he that is} left in Zion, and {he that} remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, {even} every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: {among...: or, to life}
The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, {that} this {man} was born there. Selah.
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and {with} other my fellowlabourers, whose names {are} in the book of life.
These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, {being} the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. {redeemed: Gr. bought}
And if {it be} from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation {shall be} three shekels of silver.
Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I {am} the LORD.
