And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon {were of} gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon {were of} pure gold: none {were of} silver; it was {not} any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon. {pure: Heb. shut up} {none were of silver: or, there was no silver in them}

And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. {cupbearers: or, butlers}

And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; {broided: or, plaited}

While they behold your chaste conversation {coupled} with fear.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan rejoiced and was glad. {blue: or, violet}

And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in {their} robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them. {void...: or, floor}

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
