It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put {her} away.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just {man}, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
