Thanks {be} unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) {he was} of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard {it}, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

And when they had seen {it}, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
