And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, {Thou} Son of David, have mercy on us.
And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, {Thou} Son of David, have mercy on me.
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, {thou} Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Also unto thee, O Lord, {belongeth} mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
