And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it {was} a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, {and} an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.

Also thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul {above} the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that {is} upon them, and the right shoulder; for it {is} a ram of consecration:

But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.
