Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what {shall} this man {do}?
Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry {thee} whither thou wouldest not.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if {it were} not {so}, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Then said {some} of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give {it} you.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
And when he had apprehended him, he put {him} in prison, and delivered {him} to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. {Easter: Gr. Passover} {quaternions: a file of four soldiers}
But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet {will} not I.
This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
Peter answered and said unto him, Though all {men} shall be offended because of thee, {yet} will I never be offended. {offended: or, though the faith of other men should be shaken and fail, yet mine will be firm and constant}
Jesus answered, I have told you that I am {he}: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
