O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known {it}, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by {his} Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. {comprehended: or, did not admit, or, receive}
Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, {even} they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
And the LORD said, Behold, the people {is} one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I {am} the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. {perfect: or, upright, or, sincere}
And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here {am} I.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were {our} faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. {we hid...: or, he hid as it were his face from us: Heb. as an hiding of faces from him, or, from us}

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, {there is} no beauty that we should desire him.
Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
