For this {is} an heinous crime; yea, it {is} an iniquity {to be punished by} the judges.

And the man that committeth adultery with {another} man's wife, {even he} that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
This also {were} an iniquity {to be punished by} the judge: for I should have denied the God {that is} above.

And Abimelech said, What {is} this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
{There is} none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou {art} his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
This also {were} an iniquity {to be punished by} the judge: for I should have denied the God {that is} above.
For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up {like} the lifting up of smoke.
