If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.

If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. {sure: or, steady}
Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, {There is} an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and {then} to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Then said he unto me, This {is} the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off {as} on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off {as} on that side according to it. {every one that stealeth...: or, every one of this people that stealeth holdeth himself guiltless, as it doth}

Turn ye unto {him from} whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry. {tabrets: or, timbrels}
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because {it is} none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
If thou {wert} pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, {they that} tempt God are even delivered. {are set up: Heb. are built}
Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
