Hear my words, O ye wise {men}; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips {shall be} right things.

Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

And when they told {it} to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.

Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

Teach us what we shall say unto him; {for} we cannot order {our speech} by reason of darkness.
