Jer 8:1
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars. {lay: Heb. give}
And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that {were} there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned {them} upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which {was} full of bones,
And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee.
And he slew all the priests of the high places that {were} there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem. {slew: or, sacrificed}
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images, that {were} on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust {of them}, and strowed {it} upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them. {the images: or, the sun images} {graves: Heb. face of the graves}
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away {the punishment} thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
There were they in great fear, {where} no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth {against} thee: thou hast put {them} to shame, because God hath despised them. {were...: Heb. they feared a fear}
And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray {them} away.
And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven. {put...: Heb. caused to cease} {idolatrous...: Heb. And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men. {images: Heb. statues}
And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.
Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day. {trouble: Heb. weariness} {that...: Heb. that hath found us}
Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and {there was} none to bury {them}.
But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, {and as} the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray {them} away.
And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain {men} before your idols. {images: or, sun images}
They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; {but} they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. {after...: or, in the way} {and have...: Heb. with the captivity of your horses}
And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.
And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
