The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and {all} them that trust in him: {multitude: or, nourisher: Heb. Amon}
But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock {is} a doctrine of vanities. {altogether: Heb. in one, or, at once}
Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, {and} conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces. {set up: Heb. lift up}
The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages {were} heavy loaden; {they are} a burden to the weary {beast}.
They {are} vanity, {and} the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I {am} the LORD. {gods: or, princes}
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways {from} the ancient paths, to walk in paths, {in} a way not cast up;

And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, {even} they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
