Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, {which} refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, {and as} waters {that} fail? {fail: Heb. be not sure?}

Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow {is} incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: {because} thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, {and} as the stream of brooks they pass away;

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
