O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon {her} sides, and be dandled upon {her} knees.

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, {and} Israel had walked in my ways!

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
