Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: {there is} no more strength. {strength: Heb. girdle}

Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.

Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
This {is} the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, {and} laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
He {is} swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
