Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. {lamb: or, kid}
For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, {scarlet: or, purple}
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than {that of} Abel. {covenant: or, testament}
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite {you}.
And they shall take of the blood, and strike {it} on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, {which they received} of the hand of the Levites. {their place: Heb. their standing}
And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.
For all the firstborn of the children of Israel {are} mine, {both} man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that {is} behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of {their} strength in the tabernacles of Ham:
To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy {endureth} for ever:
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
