Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
For I know {that} thou wilt bring me {to} death, and {to} the house appointed for all living.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Also {when} they shall be afraid of {that which is} high, and fears {shall be} in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
None {of them} can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, {and} that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he {is} thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.
