The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to {her} husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of {her} husband.
Likewise, ye wives, {be} in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

A virtuous woman {is} a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed {is} as rottenness in his bones.
If the priest's daughter also be {married} unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things. {a stranger: Heb. a man a stranger}
Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
