And ships {shall come} from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.

These {are} the generations of Shem: Shem {was} an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

Which was {the son} of Cainan, which was {the son} of Arphaxad, which was {the son} of Sem, which was {the son} of Noe, which was {the son} of Lamech,

And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one {was} Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name {was} Joktan. {Peleg: that is Division}

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one {was} Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name {was} Joktan. {Peleg: that is, division}

And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg: {Peleg: Gr. Phalec}

That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: {loud: Heb. great}

In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
