Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Son of man, what {is} that proverb {that} ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all {these things} must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which {was} as the frame of a city on the south. {by which: or, upon which}

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.

And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them {shall remain}, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither {shall there be} wailing for them. {theirs: or, their tumultuous persons: Heb. tumult}
Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge?
The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know {it}: the prophet {is} a fool, the spiritual man {is} mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. {spiritual...: Heb. man of the spirit}
