Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Pride {goeth} before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty {is} a fading flower, which {are} on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! {overcome: Heb. broken}
An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come. {watcheth for: Heb. awaketh against}
And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, {which} hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod {to be} a sceptre to rule. This {is} a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
In the mouth of the foolish {is} a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
Because {it is} a trial, and what if {the sword} contemn even the rod? it shall be no {more}, saith the Lord GOD. {Because...: or, When the trial hath been, what then? shall they not also belong to the despising rod?}

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works {are} truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, {even} at the doors.
