Thus saith the Lord GOD; This {shall be} the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph {shall have two} portions.

And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This {is} the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

Now Joshua was old {and} stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old {and} stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed. {to...: Heb. to possess it}

Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this {is} the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, {even} the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

Moreover, when ye shall divide by lot the land for inheritance, ye shall offer an oblation unto the LORD, an holy portion of the land: the length {shall be} the length of five and twenty thousand {reeds}, and the breadth {shall be} ten thousand. And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: {concerning} the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance. {lifted...: or, swore}

And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.

And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. {scapegoat: Heb. Azazel}
