Keep therefore and do {them}; for this {is} your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation {is} a wise and understanding people.

And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
And they went to Joshua unto the camp at Gilgal, and said unto him, and to the men of Israel, We be come from a far country: now therefore make ye a league with us.
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and {ask} from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been {any such thing} as this great thing {is}, or hath been heard like it?
Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.
And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. {faint: Heb. melt}
Thus saith the Lord GOD; This {is} Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries {that are} round about her.
I {am} black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
Lest I be full, and deny {thee}, and say, Who {is} the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God {in vain}. {deny...: Heb. belie thee}
Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that {were} in the garden of God, envied him.
Behold, thou {art} fair, my love; behold, thou {art} fair; thou {hast} doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair {is} as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead. {that...: or, that eat of, etc}
Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment {was of} fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
