It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.
If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great {is} the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people. {they...: Heb. their supplication shall fail}
Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence {him} when they see him.
O that they were wise, {that} they understood this, {that} they would consider their latter end!
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, {and} Israel had walked in my ways!
O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen {doth gather} her brood under {her} wings, and ye would not!
Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, {even} Jerusalem:
And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung {it}:
Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending {them}; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and {take} of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests;
Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden {concerneth} the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that {are} among them.
Say unto them, {As} I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, {saith...: or, hath the LORD said}

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of {thy} loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write {it} in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.
And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.
Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which {is} at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant. {furnish...: Heb. make thee instruments of captivity}
Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt {is} yours. {regard...: Heb. let not your eye spare, etc.}
