How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
The table, {and} all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread,
Both for the shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for {that which is baked in} the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size; {pan: or, flat plate}
The table, and his staves, and all his vessels, and the shewbread,
And {other} of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, {were} over the shewbread, to prepare {it} every sabbath. {shewbread: Heb. bread of ordering}
And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon: {cover...: or, pour out withal}
But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD {is} polluted; and the fruit thereof, {even} his meat, {is} contemptible.
And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also {set they in order} upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
So the priest gave him hallowed {bread}: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
