And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
For he remembered his holy promise, {and} Abraham his servant.
And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

To perform the mercy {promised} to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I {am} the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I {am} with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, {and} strengthenedst me {with} strength in my soul.
And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here {am} I.
O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; {thy...: Heb. thine arm} {preserve...: Heb. reserve the children of death}
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest {them} from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give {it, I say}, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou {art} righteous:
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. {Israel: that is, A prince of God}
And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that {was} with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day. {affliction: or, tears: Heb. eye}
For he remembered his holy promise, {and} Abraham his servant.
The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless {us}; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee {when thou wast} in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee {when thou wast} in thy blood, Live. {polluted: or, trodden under foot}

And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet. {presence: Heb. face}
Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, {and} all his afflictions:
But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I {am} the LORD.
Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.
