Better {is it} that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
{It is} a snare to the man {who} devoureth {that which is} holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied.
