Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth {are} vanity. {sorrow: or, anger}

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all {is} vanity.
I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all {is} vanity and vexation of spirit.
