Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height {was} six cubits and a span.
And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth {to battle}, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. {after...: Heb. at the return of the year, or, in the spring}
Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height {was} like the height of the cedars, and he {was} strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.
(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; {Zamzummims: also called, Zuzims}
But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare {children} to them, the same {became} mighty men which {were} of old, men of renown.

And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that {is} before Rabbah;

And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits {long} by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I {am} the LORD.
And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
