Blessed {shall be} thy basket and thy store. {store: or, dough, or, kneadingtroughs}
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages {to put it} into a bag with holes. {with holes: Heb. pierced through}
Then said he unto me, This {is} the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off {as} on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off {as} on that side according to it. {every one that stealeth...: or, every one of this people that stealeth holdeth himself guiltless, as it doth}
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. {turning...: or, ease of the simple}
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay {it} to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay {it} to heart.
Let their table become a snare before them: and {that which should have been} for {their} welfare, {let it become} a trap.
