Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them {is} manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny {it}.

For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
And he took him by the right hand, and lifted {him} up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat {had} a notable horn between his eyes. {touched...: or, none touched him in the earth} {a notable...: Heb. a horn of sight}
And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.
Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater {works} than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
That they may know that this {is} thy hand; {that} thou, LORD, hast done it.
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Surely {there is} no enchantment against Jacob, neither {is there} any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! {against: or, in}
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
They only consult to cast {him} down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. {inwardly: Heb. in their inward parts}
Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This {is} the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David:
And when all the people saw {it}, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he {is} the God; the LORD, he {is} the God.
Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, {that} shall ye receive.
For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
