Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they {be} in Hazazontamar, which {is} Engedi.
And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.
And it shall come to pass, {that} the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a {place} to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
My beloved {is} unto me {as} a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi. {camphire: or, cypress}
And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which {is} Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.

And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, {and} men of war {fit} for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces {were like} the faces of lions, and {were} as swift as the roes upon the mountains; {of war: Heb. of the host} {as swift...: Heb. as the roes upon the mountains to make haste}
And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.
