And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead. {Jehoshaphat: Gr. Josaphat}

And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.

Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

Nevertheless the high places were not taken away; {for} the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
